I can't claim to be involved in any detail, but I know enough to know it
is real, and that people in various locations in Africa and India took
part in the pilot courses. My involvement was that I was able to put
Prof Dick Heller (Manchester, UK) and Dr John Dada (Fantsuam, Nigeria)
in touch with each other. This lead to discussions of local need and
possible provision. Thanks to Omo Olaiyo, (and previous work that John
and I had done on Teachers Talking) we already had an implementation of
Moodle (Cawdnet Campus) which could be used for the pilot courses and a
willing volunteer, Lorraine Duff, to help get things started.
