Further to David's post people may also be interested in an annotated
bibliography being compiled by graduate students engaged in a major
longitudinal literacy and employment research programme:
http://literacy.massey.ac.nz/index.php?id=annotated_bibliograp&mountpoin
t=1

The annotated bibliography currently has about 200 or so items either on
the site or in preparation - but is still in an early stage of its
development and will be undergoing ongoing improvement over the next few
months.

Best Christmas wishes to all

boards

I would like to take the liberty of responding to this entire list
regarding this question as this issue of using the internet with and to
educate those with low literacy is one of the keystone areas of concern
in the digital divide arena.

I have put together a brief bibliography and webliography of sources
about resources on the internet pertinent to low literacy as well as
sources about the effectiveness and the quality as a learning tool that
those with low literacy find the internet to be.

Subject: LITERACY : EDUCATION: INTERNET : EDUCATION: DISTANCE: ONLINE
AND
INTERNET: The Impact of the Internet and Website Resources Upon the
Effectiveness of Low Literacy Adolescent and Adult Learning: Some
Publication and Web Resources

To all on this discussion group have a great holiday season.
