Dear Andy and All at DDN,
In 1998, Honduras, my country, was struck by a major
hurricane. Hurricane Mitch had winds up to 180 mph
and spent 5 days traveling north, south, east and west
in this small country. Thousands died. We still
haven't fully recovered.
A small network, www.projecthonduras.com, was very
useful coordinating help and communications in the
country. Today, the network has grown. It still
coordinates aid and just keeps everyone talking from
one end of the country to the other and from outside
the country to those of us here.
I think that Deborah is right. We should be
prepared, because unfortunately, there will always be
large natural disasters.
  Jorge
