Hi folks -- I am really excited to share with you the "beta" (which is to
say constantly evolving until I learn how to use it) community, devarts.org
(http://www.devarts.org).

Eventually, I hope to provide a breeding ground for a community of visual
artists and development practitioners working together. For the moment, its
a dynamic place to share insights into ways the visual arts can be leveraged
to bring the global community closer to realization of the Millennium
Development Goals.

In addition to my own use of the space to regularly provide

Some of the features on devarts.org include:

- User blogs: like an online journal, its a personal publishing place on the
web to share your work and ideas. Features RSS syndication so people can
read it without having to jump on the web.

- Collaborative books: tools to create online "books" through collaboration
with other community members

- Shared calendar: post and keep track of important events with built in
email reminders

- News aggregation services: collection of news items from arts and
development related blogs and other syndicated content

- Photo galleries: limited space to post photos of your work

- User moderated discussion forum: engage in discussions on specific topics.
Can include the "how to's" of production, challenges to successful
implementation of programmes -- anything really: its up to community
members!

- Community messaging: send private emails to community members

... And lots more! Membership is free. I encourage you to drop by sign up.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing
you at DevArts ;P

PS -- If you find bugs in the system, please let me know -- I am sure there
are bugs to be worked out!
