One of the largest stumbling blocks - as you already pointed out - are
the browsers that are not compliant with W3C standards when it comes to
CSS, HTML and even Javascript. All of these can be worked around.

My main problem, believe it or not, is the palette. Color palette
differences are one of the largest problems, and would be something that
I would wish were standardized. I use Mozilla as the standard browser
for color palettes right now, and that's not because the palette is
better but because on the sites I administrate and work with, Mozilla is
dominant (40%) as well as the fact that Mozilla is more compliant with
W3C standards than the browser most people get preinstalled.
