Google is a business. They went for the largest verifiable market first. Linux would be next - then Apple. And since Jon was the only one who said Linux, and the Applefolk are only talking about Apple (whereas Jon mentioned Apple's OS).... I'm going to write this a few times.

Now we can just say Linux and *BSD (which includes Apple OS/X), and go on with our lives. The last two are simple hardware limitations. It's important to understand that the sort of processing needed is not easily found even on top-of-the-line machines 4 years ago, and 2 years ago most machines were not capable of the processing needed. So the last two indicate a hardware divide that donated PCs themselves might be helping to feed. And just so that this all balances - I'm about to go and add an iMac to a Microsoft network here in Guyana. The organization got 8 iMacs donated a year ago, and the IT department people said that they couldn't use them.
