I wonder is anyone interested in the potential of Broadcast Machine a relatively new open source platform. The user can create their own video channels upload files or link to files on other servers.. files are streamed via bittorrent to the users player to a full screen. The player in new the mac version is out the pc version is in production. It seems to me to have Potential to empower people to create and publish their own media and to make them as accessible as podcasts are now:-) i.e. same issues.
