hi everyone - i'm teaching myself how to do "callouts" in camtasia studio, on my windows xp computer. for those who might be interested, here is an example of how you can use callouts in your citizen media projects.
http://www.writersforliteracy.org/jaguarcarreview.html the callouts are the "text within arrows" that point to something in your screencast. in my presentation, the first callout says: "Reasonably priced at $70,495.") adding the extra callouts was pretty easy. the timeline in camtasia studio is as easy to use as the timeline in imovie. it sure was fun satirizing the new york times in this project. they really should lose the jaguar car reviews and devote newspaper space to something else. i'll upload this screencast to the internet archive and then submit it to digg.com. if you'd like to digg this presentation (i.e. vote your approval of it), you'll see it listed at http://digg.com/users/pshapiro/submitted in a few days. - phil the closest thing to camtasia studio on the mac is snapz pro. screenmimic is another screencasting program for the mac. on linux, check out Wink, which is free. Wink is also available for windows. http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ the next version of Wink, due out in a few months, will include audio narration capabilities. the next version is probably also going to be free. -- Phil Shapiro [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.digitaldivide.net/profile/pshapiro http://www.digitaldivide.net/blog/pshapiro http://www.his.com/pshapiro/stories.menu.html "Wisdom begins with wonder." - Socrates _______________________________________________ DIGITALDIVIDE mailing list DIGITALDIVIDE@mailman.edc.org http://mailman.edc.org/mailman/listinfo/digitaldivide To unsubscribe, send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of the message.
