::> Nominations for Global SchoolNet's Online Shared Learning Award deadline January 27, 2006 Global SchoolNet is pleased to announce the 2006 GSN Online Shared Learning Awards. These awards recognize exemplary tele-collaborating teachers, media specialists, and other school-based educators. Since 1984 the Global SchoolNet Foundation (GSN) has been a leader in demonstrating and promoting online shared (collaborative) learning. GSNs Online Shared Learning Awards recognize global teaching champions from around the world both new comers and pioneers. The awards seek to promote the effective use of tele-collaboration among different groups of students. For complete details: http://www.globalschoolnet.org/GSNawards/ This year Global SchoolNet will recognize educators in TWO different categories: => Educators in the U.S.A. who teach within the 50 United States, and => Educators outside the U.S.A. who teach OUTSIDE the 50 United States, including its commonwealth and unincorporated territories (such as Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, etc.) In recognition of their dedication, leadership and hard work, selected educators will each receive a cash award of $2,500 and an all expense paid trip to the National Education Computing Conference (NECC) in San Diego, California (July 2006).
