I didn't realize that a corporation had feelings. MS has made its
"feelings" and plans to counter OSS clear.

What about the "low blows" that MS perpetrates on the OSS-using public?

We are not talking about what MS's or any other entities legal rights are,
we are talking about the right thing to do.

If folks feel the need to defend a gigantic, inanimate corporation, others
on this list certainly should be allowed to opine about what these same
entities are up to.

This is an Internet listserv, not a tea-party. Can we please let some
discussion - even heated, perhaps even less-than-polite (heaven forbid!) -
occur here?

If the issues that are debated here are of any import whatsoever, we have to
expect a little strum und drang now and then. I really do not understand why
a post would not be permitted onto the listserv because it might upset the
delicate sensibilities of some inanimate corporation.

What are we afraid of?

Speculating something might be happening isn't necessarily slanderous,
but it's certainly a low blow, and unless you have evidence about
something going on it really doesn't have any business on the list. If I
hadn't been moderating the list from my cellphone I wouldn't have
posted it.
