Yes, I teach college English at two universities (Youngstown State and Kent
State-Geauga), and accept Wikipedia citations. I'm not wild about Wikipedia
and encourage students to find other sources, but a goal of my course is to
teach students how to cite sources, and Wikipedia is a source, like it or not.
Anyway, I want them to learn how to cite Internet sources, and I've never
been told by higher-ups that Wikipedia is unacceptable.
