What's the rush? Do you really think the compiler will be ready so
soon? It would be silly to rush out a book about a language with an
incomplete compiler. I don't say this to discourage you. I support
your work, but it seems like it will take some time to implement all
the new features properly.
Thanks, Craig. There are very many reasons for the rush, among which
the simplest one is that I have signed a contract, endorsed by Walter,
to publish a book about the language.

I think the rush he's referring to is the rush to "hit the shelves" sooner.
It is also the rush I am referring to.
