Is that what you mean by alias template.
template Wrap(T) { alias T Wrap; } // no members, no static if
This has a bidirectional mapping, but you can't change the type any longer.
'void foo(T)(Wrap!T val)' would always be equal to 'void foo(T)(T val)'
