While we're on the subject, I've been meaning to make a post about it,
but just hadn't gotten around to it, there is a PR that I made a little
over 2 months ago that fixes issue #1829 (no, that's not a typo, it
really is a 6 year old bug that is fixed by removing an if statement),
but has yet to actually be reviewed.
