I recall when Scala came out, somebody published[1] a "intro/review" on Scala where he said "Scala is Haskell on JVM"; poor feller didn't know none of Scala, Haskell and OCaml.

The cost of publishing something online is almost 0. This invites people with little to no knowledge and experience to pour out superficially done "reviews" in large quantities into Google's brain. There are people (easy to find on Twitter) who brag about writing one technical review/introduction each day; this is almost impossible if done correctly.

I wouldn't take any of the online reviews seriously unless with a huge pile of rough grained salts :-)
