D's GC is a failure, the amount of effort needed/given to work
around it should be proof enough of this.
There is no problem, to write on C if you do not need GC.
Then why use D? Most of the standard library and large portion of
language features are locked out if you opt-out of the GC.
If it half-asses two things, then there's no reason to use it.
