For me:
aptitude install ldc
aptitude install gdc
aptitude install dmd-bin
aptitude install dub

Only because the OS has a sane packaging system (and some
people were kind enough to package the compilers in nice
packages). For less-privileged OSes, the user experience could
be drastically different. ;-)

Now to use LDC as default:
