std.log - What Happened?

There was a lot of discussion about a few std.log proposals here a few
months back, and I was just wondering if someone had one they were planning
to put up for review in the near future.
I have a moderately sized codebase that needs a good logging module, and
rather than rolling one from scratch, I'd prefer to switch from the terrible
thing I'm using now to a not-so-stable API that someone wanted dogfooded
(dogfed?).
