Some folks attach the sound card interface to the MIC connector so VOX would work but when the audio is connected to the read ACC connector or data connector (FT817, TS450, FT1000), the rear audio IN will not trigger VOX. The advantage to using the rear ACC or data connector is that the MIC can remain attached but is MUTED during digi transmission.
