Having worked in the 2 way radio service for over 27 years I can tell you the you are right. The CW ID is not for the system users or owners but because FCC rule 90.402 says the system MUST be ID'ed by voice or CW. trying to get a person to it on time is out of the question. I think the fine is $1,150.00 if I recall what I was told. Need a Digital mode QSO?
