warnings, has set up a rival group. There is room for all on the
Internet, so good for Tom. His message group contains the follwoing
info.Description
"Welcome to the digitalradiomodes Yahoo eGroup! Why have I created a
second general digital radio modes oriented Yahoo eGroup?
Because some of the moderators of the digitalradio, oliviadata, mixw
and psk31 Yahoo eGroups moderate with a tyrranical heavy hand and
censor those that provide a dissenting viewpoint, very un-American
and MARXIST.
Unlike the other eGroups I do not decide what everyone will and will
not read and think. This one is "politically incorrect", where a
dissenting viewpoint and FREE SPEECH is respected, very rare on the
WWW nowadays.
We exist for those interested in discussing and experimenting with
all existing and future digital modes and related sound card based
software.
Discussion of regulatory issues is also allowed if directly related
to digital modes. YOU CAN ALSO "POLITELY" DISCUSS GRIEVANCES
CONCERNING QRM FROM AUTOMATIC PACTOR AND ALE STATIONS.
The number of digital modes is amazing and new ones come along
regularly, thanks to the selflessness of so many talented ham radio
operator software programmers. To name a few: AMTOR, CW, DominoEX,
Hellschreiber, PSK, MFSK16, Olivia MFSK, PACTOR, RTTY, SSTV, THROB,
etc. Some software examples would be MixW, MultiPSK, Digipan, MMTTY,
MMVARI, Hamscope, Ham Radio Deluxe, Write Log, N1MM Logger, K7RE
RTTY, etc.
Questions and requests for assistance for new and experienced hams
is allowed and encouraged, you know it's that Elmer thing we do.
Remember no question is dumb and we all suffer fools gladly at
times.
This group is unmoderated though membership requires approval to
avoid spammers. Members are encouraged to use and add to the Files,
Links, etc., sections.
There are three rules, no spamming, no fighting/flaming and stay on
topic. Members that fight/flame will be subject to moderated status.
Spammers will be banned"

Seems odd, but I thought I would give him a helping hand. "odd",
because he describes an open uncensored group but then sticks to the
rules I created for this group (e.g. no fighting/flaming) and
banned him for violating. The Internet is a fun place and Yahoo
groups making it even funnier, competition is always good however.
Andy.
