Although PSK 31 is a few db better under difficult conditions, I wonder how much of an advantage you would have with ARQ PSK63? If we had an ARQ soundcard mode for MS OS, I would be one of those using it for casual work and for sure for emergency conditions. The "official" emergency HF keyboard digital mode for our Section is PSK63, not that it is used much due to the lack of interest in HF digital in our Section.
The programs that I would need to run under Linux are of course DX Lab and its ability to interface with MultiPSK for rig control, logging, propagation, digital modes, etc. Linux just doesn't have anything close to that at this time.
