Bruce, We have an FCC license, albeit Experimental, just like you do, so our HSMM testing will continue: all 200 kHz of it and at 1.5 KW, if that much power is required for our links.
Last I heard neither you nor SMIRK own the 6M band, at least not all of it (HI). Out of 4 MHz there should be some room for radio experimenters too, wouldn't you agree? However, we are restricted to 50.3 - 50. 8 MHz, while you can go anywhere in the band you wish.
