When you install Linux on the third drive all things will be handled
properly if the Linux installs grub.  grub is the tool that allows
multiple operating systems to be selected.  So when you insert the
installation disk into the CD ROM drive, the following things must be
true:

The windows XP drive must be the "boot drive".   
You must know which device is the 20 GB target drive for Linux.

You tell the Linux installer to put it on that device and to leave the
Windows drive alone.   With most modern Linux distributions such as
SUSE,  Ubuntu, etc. this is automatic unless you interfere in some way.  

Grub will install itself into the master boot record on the Windows
drive and then when the computer reboots it will present a selection
menu asking you which OS you wish to boot.
