I'm glad to see that you are keeping an open mind on all this, and placing lots

  That is a good thought. Just throw out all the rules and regs and let rip. 
Then you would have  CB on all the bands. Most people only want rules and regs 
that suit themselves and not the rest of the everyone else. Deregulatation 
would give the semi/automatic stations just what they want. That way we could 
just turn all the hambands into an e-mail service.

     So why doesn't the US follow the most of rest of the world and deregulate 
the bands? that would be a move towards
    having the ham bands the same worldwide.

    I don't think the rest of the world is interested in yet more 
rules........maybe it's because we don't have
    as many lawyers and lobbyists to support.

      What I am saying is that the ham bands should be the same world wide. 
Everyone is not going to like it but then you can't please any 10 people on 
anything.
