John,
The last post was more or less just joking. Your are right I don't have a lot
of faith in my fellow countrymen (that make the rules and regs) when it comes
to something like this. All I am saying the rules and regs should be the same
for everyone in every country. Everyone is not going to be pleased with
anything that is done, but we should be able to live with it if we want to be
in our great hobby.

I'm glad to see that you are keeping an open mind on all this, and placing
lots of faith in your fellow countrymen
I guess we'll just have to wait and see how all this shakes out.

John,
That is a good thought. Just throw out all the rules and regs and let rip.
Then you would have CB on all the bands. Most people only want rules and regs
that suit themselves and not the rest of the everyone else. Deregulatation
would give the semi/automatic stations just what they want. That way we could
just turn all the hambands into an e-mail service.

So why doesn't the US follow the most of rest of the world and
deregulate the bands? that would be a move towards
having the ham bands the same worldwide.
I don't think the rest of the world is interested in yet more
rules........maybe it's because we don't have
as many lawyers and lobbyists to support.

John,
What I am saying is that the ham bands should be the same world wide.
Everyone is not going to like it but then you can't please any 10 people on
anything.
