also if you tune around 10 meters you will find a lot of long distance truckers 
are there.. most are running between 100 and 1000 watts!!!  will lose 10 soon!!

Channel 2 TVI was mainly caused by nearby 6 meter operation. That, along with a 
poor receiver front-end design and 21 Mhz IF didn't help when in a strong RF 
field of any transmitter.

The 11 meter band was lost due to little activity and a big political push by 
certain manufactures to create a new market for their wares. It worked.
