The boot disc detects my motherboard based soudncard without problems,
an Emachine PC that normally runs XP HE. When I was at Skip's house he
had it working with his external thumb-drive styled external
soundcard. Remember, the software default is audio in via the mic
audio source. You can change it to LINE IN in the FL-DIgi set-up
area. You can also use the utility linux files on the boot disc to
detect soudcards. If your souncard was not detect at the first boot,
try it.

As for PTT, my digital mode interface does not work fully with Linux
so I do not bother setting the FL-DIGI for rig control or PTT, I use
VOX for PTT and it appears to work just fine.
