I wonder what kind of "investment" is required.

It has as many points as possible in common with sound card modes and 
only requires MultiPSK as terminal program.

If I am not asking for a comparison between apples and oranges (I am not 
entirely convinced right now... 8-) ), maybe Tony could devise some 
measurements to compare them.
