We have established certain standards we are looking to follow. The mode/protocol/ package etc. should be based on weak signal HF capability. The mode/protocol/ package should be able to handle transferring of data in more than just ascii text format (ie: transfer files such as spreadsheets, etc.) The system must NOT require proprietary hardware such as pactor II/III modems. In other words, standard modems and/or sound card based. Before the flames start, there are already some out there that are being tested that actually meet these requirements, but are still in testing stages.
