. Many modes work well, and most are BETTER than PSK31, but the problem is that there are not many hams using the others nodes, So your lighthouse station may be calling CQ over and over again using a mode that no one uses. So, I would suggest just four modes. PSK31, PSK63 if the band is in GOOD condition, Olivia 500/16 , and MFSK16.
