*Technical Skills Required: *
Past experience in marketing and selling (internally or externally)
information security services to complex, large-scale, high-technology
projects.
Excellent customer relationship development and management skills applied in
a consulting style environment with responsibilities for multiple large
clients.
In-depth expertise in analyzing a wide spectrum of IT solutions,
ascertaining their technical security control (authentication,
authorization, access control, audit cryptography) needs, and making
practical recommendations to address them.
Proven experience in developing technical security controls for mission
critical business process support applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft,
Siebel, Ariba, or others.
Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
Good understanding of the information technology and information security
industries, their current developments, trends, issues, and fundamental
concepts.
Stellar written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience in a sales engineering or a "Big 4" consulting role is
highly desirable.
Bachelors degree or equivalent required.
*Assignment Description / Responsibilities:*
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the organization's
current and future customers (i.e. other internal IT organizations that
consume information security services).
Periodically educate customers about all existing and forthcoming
information security services including service goals, benefits,
applicability, delivery capacity, and engagement protocol.
Participate in multiple project funding, planning, and execution processes
and forums (including PPM, SDM/QRB, CAP, CAB, ARB, Infrastructure Workgroup,
and others) to identify, document, prioritize, and communicate IT system
development project needs for information security services.
Collaborate with customers and business sponsors to review the scope of
proposed IT system development initiatives and recommend the application of
appropriate information security services across all phases of the system
life-cycle.
Collect and research information about proposed IT solutions and existing
production IT systems and brief the ITPS service/capability delivery
managers on a weekly basis.
Facilitate the process to evaluate all IT projects and operational changes
to the IT environment to determine appropriate security service and
capability requirements. Record all service / delivery engagement
recommendations and decisions and communicate them to customers.
Track all current service delivery engagement commitments and, when
appropriate, communicate this information to affected customers and other
stakeholders.
Continuously analyze the organization's service delivery capacity and manage
customer expectations with respect to future engagement scoping and
scheduling constraints.
Represent ITPS in various IT governance processes (PPM, QRB, CAB, CAP, etc.)
and facilitate the process to make formal project and operational gating
decisions. Record the ITPS decisions and communicate them back to the
appropriate process stakeholders.
Survey existing customers on previous service engagement experience and
communicate relevant constructive feedback to the information security
organization and its leadership.
Brief customers and stakeholders on news and developments in special
situations including mission-critical information security incident response
events.
