Solutions Architect Portsmouth, NH 6 months+ Solutions Infrastructure Architect Candidate's primary role is collecting information from market (business unit) customers and deciphering the request into an infrastructure architecture solution. Candidate will be required to follow the direction of Project Managers, who will provide assignments and be a facilitator for the candidates work. Deliverables will be driven by best practices and the customers practices/policies. This is NOT a system administrator position, hands-on server access will not be typical and should not be expected in this position. The candidate is expected to understand business requirements, map to infrastructure services, determine gaps, assist PM in pricing and staffing requirements, and communicate results how technology services (server, storage, network, disaster recovery, high availability, etc.) come together to provide a holistic technology solution to meet the customer requirements. Candidate must understand architecture best practices (e.g.). Candidate must have good customer relationship building (communication) and documentation skills Candidate must know IBM Power 5 and Power 6 (P series) servers, HMC, VIO, AIX 5.3 and up Candidate must have experience developing infrastructure project solutions to include preparing pricing and staffing estimates Candidate should very comfortable communicating and setting expectations with mgmt team, support staff, vendors and customers Candidate will interface with various internal groups within the hosting organization (e.g. - security, storage, backup, server, operations, etc.).
