The candidate will be responsible for modifying and supporting existing middleware components and creating new ones. Languages required are listed above. - Middleware products that must be supported include *VB6 and C# objects*running on *WinTel platforms*. - The candidate will need the ability to *analyze existing C# and VB code * and understand what modifications need to be made to the existing code to support a given requirement. - Position requires increased *participation in the production support and troubleshooting areas* and a normal developer role in other companies (30-40% heads down development). - Must have a solid background working in a *formalized SDLC process*. Requirements analysis, effort estimates, component development, unit testing, defect resolution, and production support will be part of the job responsibilities. - Must be capable of assessing complex situations and quickly arriving at technically sound solutions. - Must be able to communicate with individuals of varying technical expertise as they will have to interact with other developers, system testers and business analysts.
