We are currently looking for an ETL Developer to join our growing Business
Intelligent Team. The ETL Developer handles data warehouse
design/development. Candidates must have leadership experience and the
ability to deliver complete ETL solutions. Candidates must have experience
working with Transact-SQL and Unix Shell Scripts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The position is responsible for generating all ETL modules and scripts
required to transform the source data into the Teradata physical tables
including the associated processes necessary to provide robust recovery and
performance. Creates deliverables that include: ETL modules, Unix Shell
scripts, Dimensional Data Models, Data Flow Diagrams and other Data
Management artifacts. Analyzes business and functional requirements of
assigned projects and translate into technical specifications and data rules
required for the construction of the Teradata data warehouse. Keeps all
documentation (business and technical metadata, data models, guidelines and
standards, etc., processes) current. Develops standards and strategies to
ensure data quality.
*REQUIREMENTS*
? 7+ years of IT Experience
? 5+ years of Data Warehousing Experience
? 5+ years of ETL Experience
? 5+years of Shell scripts
? Experience with Oracle 10g
? Experience with XML
? Experience with file transfer methods (e.g. FTP)
? Experience working in data management, configuration and logical data
modeling
? Experience working on decision support applications
? Experience with application interfaces
? Experience defining business requirements
? Experience in large enterprise IT environments and production support
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Excellent SQL Skills
? Experience mentoring junior staff
? BS in Computer/Information Science, Mathematics or equivalent
Desired Skills:
? Experience with SQL Server 2005
? Experience with modeling tools: ERwin, Visio, Designer
? Hands on experience with: Crystal Reports, Business Objects
? Experience using Informatica, Datastage or Ab Initio.
