Let me know if you have any consultant ASAP. *Technical Infrastructure Project Manager:* Location: New York, NY Duration: 6 - 9 months Rate: DOE F2F Required * * *Job Description:*** * Set up and manage virtual project teams through collaboration with Tech Ops managers and resources in order to manage projects. * Work with internal/external functional units with appropriate communications in order to gather requirements. * Develop project plans and schedules with input from project team members in order to properly set expectations with stakeholders. * Manage projects through the full lifecycle using established processes and tools in accordance with managerial requirements. * Detect and manage project risks using best practices to inform stakeholders of the possible project pit falls while working to alleviate said risks. * Manage project budgets by influencing decision making while tracking expenditures in order to stay on a set budget. * Submit status reports to varying levels of management via established tool sets and templates in order to inform stakeholders throughout the project. Infrastructure type implementations * Experience in implementing complex multi tiered server infrastructures including DB, application and web servers. * Experience of overall project management responsibilities. IE: scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, baselining and reporting. * Thorough understanding of various servers, Operating Systems and network hardware. *Virtualization: Experience in Virtualization using VMware *Oracle RAC: Experience in the implementation of an Oracle RAC installation. *Server clustering * Experience in implementing cluster type installation with overall knowledge of required hardware, software and functionality. * SAN: Experience in implementing complex infrastructures with a good understanding of how SAN gets implemented. *Network: Good understanding of switches, firewalls and load balancers, primarily Cisco equipment. *MS Products: Thorough understanding and proficient in the use of MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel *Global Projects: Complex global projects with virtual teams in matrixed environments. *Understanding of data center operations (product operations, server, storage, network, database mgmt, system mgmt, DR/BCP best practices) Let me know if you have any questions.
