Please let me know if you have an exact match for this position and please do not send me resumes with less than 10 years of experience. *Position: .NET Architect* *Location: *NJ *Duration: *6 - 9 months F2F Required This position is not a "strong developer" but a real architect with 10+ years experience in technologies (primarily Microsoft), distributed application and infrastructure design, and ideally has a [distant?] background where they did application architecture and development but is current on newer technologies such as .NET, SQL Server 2005, MOSS, etc. Details: Working with Business Analysts and application owners in the Functions and geographies: - Responsible for technical design track on mid to large scale projects - Provides technical consultation through-out requirements gathering phases - Provides buy vs. build analysis and supplier recommendations - Responsible for translating business and functional requirements (business process models and use cases) into detailed technical design ? from system down to code-level design - Responsible for designing and developing proof-of-concepts to test and prove designs (as required) - Ensures alignment with the firm?s application architecture Working with IT and development organizations: - Responsible for communicating technical design and approaches to developers - Provides guidance through-out the development process to ensure code is developed to specification - Provides information and guidance to support organizations - Participates in the firm?s technology standardization process, focusing on application and data architecture - Participates and leads focus groups - Researches new products and technologies to determine fit with the firm?s application architecture - Contributes to the evolution of the firm?s architectural frameworks and approaches Development and execution of: - System and Application Design Documents - System Configuration Guides - Development and Deployment Guides - Product Standards - Research and Position Papers Product Evaluation, Analysis, and Proofs-of-Concept REQUIREMENTS: - MINIMUM of 10-15 years of overall experience. - MINIMUM of 4-5 years of Architecture & Design experience - MINIMUM of 5 years of .Net experience. - Experience with MOSS a plus. - Excellent communication skills required.
