Our client, a large financial company in Atlanta, is looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Architect for a year long contract. Experience with Ab Initio and Cognos are desired. *Job Description:* "Manages complex IT architectural projects requiring demonstrated technical/business knowledge of multiple disciplines and LOB’s. Supports the oversight process to ensure the architectural “health” and maintenance of discipline(s) as well as its transformation based the needs of business and corporate technology and budget objectives. Responsible for the architectural strategy and direction of multiple diverse application functions on a variety of multi-platform systems in order to support the achievement of corporate business objectives. Develops application strategy in support of short and long term business plans as well as application implications and software development requirements. Participates in the development of company business system architecture plans and reviews cost and feasibility of system requests and while ensuring the plan supports the strategic needs of the company. Defines and validates technical and business requirements related to application integration and database/application services to ensure feasibility and completeness in accordance with established company strategies and business plans. Designs and implements infrastructure development interfaces between enterprise application resources. Designs infrastructure components for a specific applications environment. Prescribes and directs “proof of concepts” in order to determine appropriate architecture options and limit risks. Defines architecture of technical design to satisfy defined requirements and constraints, and validate their alignment with corporate standards. Identifies alternative approaches that meet requirements while reducing cost and improving functionality. Resolves technical related architecture during implementation.
