Job Title: Datastage Administrator Duration : 6 to 12 months contract position Location: Portland, OR
Job Description: • Setup and support deployment of IBM DataStage on Linux/Unix OS environment. • Expert in setup and configuring of Information Server (Data Datastage) • Must have technical experience to review physical and logic architectural views and validate starts/stop scripts, etc. • Strong technical and problem solving skills. • Prior Unix SA experience a plus • Build, maintain, back-up and support IBM DataStage and QualityStage ETL software environment. • Perform analysis and capacity planning with industry leading ETL solutions in mind. • Work with DBAs and network team to defining database connections. This includes familiarity with database platforms Oracle and SQL Server. • Perform review of ETL jobs in application releases to ensure that they will perform efficiently with the resources available. • Work with applications to deploy new and modified DataStage jobs to QA and production. • Monitor and process DataStage administration requests via E-mail, ticketing and pages. • Assist developers and support staff with resolving problems with aborted jobs, Locked jobs, space problems, large job log files, hung jobs, etc. • Enforce Best Practices and adherence to ETL standards. • Perform Periodic DataStage environment health-checks and maintenance of the DataStage environment. Required Skills: • DataStage (Enterprise Edition) - 3 years - Advanced • DataStage Admin - (Version 8.x) - 1 year - Intermediate • Data Warehousing experience - 3+ years - Advanced • ETL and solutions architecture - 2+ years Advance • Current in new ETL technologies. • Full life cycle experience in Data Integration, Data Warehousing, and Master Data Management. • Expert understanding of the ETL and architectural principles of data integration and data warehousing. • Experience with on/off shore team coordination to insure ‘best practice’ standards and process. ******Please send your updated resume to [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
