Job Description: Relevant Experience (Yrs): 5+ Years of IT Technical/Functional Skills: C#, SQL Server, Experience Required: • Senior 5 + Years experience DB Developer for Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2005 • Proficient with SQL and stored procedures, Min of 3 to 5 years of hands on experience with C#, SQL scripts to support ETL • Major recent experience with high volume databases and/or data warehouses • Strong understanding of Data warehousing methodologies / Design Techniques and major recent experience with high volume databases • Computer Science degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience PREFERRED skills • Ability to work independently with business requirements and turn them into software specs and software programs • Good comm. skills, written and oral • Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL related performance and capacity issues Roles & Responsibilities: • Maintain and modify programs. Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology • Refine data and format final product. Maintain and modify programs • make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes. Test and develop programming modifications. Write new program code using prescribed specifications • Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls. Write and maintain programming documentation. Must be able to create, enhance and support ETL utilizing SQL scripts including stored procedures to extract data from various data sources and upload data into SQL Database • Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Must possess analytical and problem solving skills Education: Bachelor of Engineering; Masters degree preferred.
