*Position: Oracle Applications DBA*
Location: Downers Grove, IL
Length: 4 months w/option for additional time
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: $60.00- all inclusive
Overview:
Provides Oracle applications DBA skills and should be able to perform
typical day to day DBA activities and database guidance. The resource will
be working as Application DBA interfacing with Enterprise DBAs and
Developers.
Requirements:
1. Must have Minimum 3-5 yrs experience in Oracle 10g & 11i in a
PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT:
a. Oracle 10g to Oracle 11 migration experience
i. Knowledge of
SQL*Loader(Preferred)
ii. Oracle Database
release management (preferred)
2. Must be able to perform database administration activities on
servers including:
a. Oracle database administration
i. HEAVY PERFORMANCE
/System Tuning (Stats, database instance, indexes, parallelism, other DB
parameters)
ii. Creating/Managing
DB objects & stored procedures
iii. Capacity Planning
iv. Process Transition
Planning
v. Query
Optimization
b. Synchronize database objects between databases
c. Data loading and maintaining
d. Coordinate, Install and test database software changes and version
updates through system integration and regression tests.
e. Perform programming in Application development, Software Design,
Analysis, maintenance, Documentation and Implementation
f. Ensure proper security authorizations have been granted
3. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the
organization.
4. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and
effective communicator
5. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of
this project.
