Position: Voice -Communication Solution engineer Location: Philadelphia, PA Duration : long term Salary: Open Type : C2C We are looking for people who can do design, architecture, and requirements. While I don't expect the person to develop standard specification, I expect that the person to be able to review standard specifications and apply/map that to the requirements/design. Mandatory Skills: . Minimum of 5 years' experience in telecommunications in large scale carrier networks in Lab, CLEC, IXC, ILEC network or back office environments. . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunication Services or Networking Services. . Strong technical skills with switching systems and electronics. Must have detailed knowledge of public switching and transport network including IP, SIP, IMS, VoIP, soft switching, and fiber transports along packet based transport technologies. . Must be familiar and has hands-on experience with voice, data, and equipment engineering technologies and have an advanced knowledge of telecommunications equipment, terminology, and standard practices and procedures. . Possess and maintain a working knowledge of all facets of network elements, design and switching. . Must have vast knowledge of basic Traffic engineering principles for both voice and data networks. . Must be able to review relevant standards and adapt them to Comcast environment. . Have a vast knowledge of networking and telecommunication verbiage, e.g. CNAM, Peering, QOS, DOCSIS, Cloud, and IT Technology. . Proven experience with effectively working within a production environment to achieve both operational results as well as maintaining a healthy team atmosphere .
