I'm not quite sure. I guess there is no TV-out support for G450/G550 in 2.4. But when you've tried the 2.5 kernel, then there should be the TV-out parameter ioctls be available, i.e. you only need the matroxset patch. You can easily find that out by applying the matroxset patch. If it still compiles then it should work :-). This is a good reason for me to test the 2.5 kernel. I didn't had the time yet :-(.
