I was successful in getting both GTK+-DirectFB and Mplayer to use an RGB32 DisplayLayer. The matrox-ctrc2 mode looks very nice. Unlike my fb timings, it fills the television screen with a very nice square picture, with Mplayer only that is. My GTK application still has the distorted shape that I was seeing using my fb timings and I was using matroxset to reroute CRTCs etc. I have matrox-crtc2 and matrox-tv-standard=ntsc in my /etc/directfbrc file, as well I have tried to force them in the GDK initialization with: DirectFBSetOption( "matrox-crtc2", "" ); DirectFBSetOption( "matrox-tv-standard", "ntsc" ); But I still get the distorted image I got with fbset timings when using my GTK application. Any ideas why this would be? b. -- Brian J. Murrell
