How do people handle trick mode support with DirectFB VideoProviders?
On our system we have hardware acceleration for video etc. This means that
it needs to be informed that we are FastForwarding / Rewinding as it must
change its behaviour.
Currently we think the best approach would be to add to API calls to
VideoProvider called FastForward an Rewind which could take a parameter
which is the speed to FF at i.e
x32,x16,x8,x4,x2,x1/2,x1/4,x1/8 etc
What do people think of these suggestions?
