Does anyone know the history of this option in the unichrome driver? It's set by an environment variable and enables transparency in the primary layer (adding the OPACITY ALPHACHANNEL and SRC_COLORKEY capabilities).
I'm wondering (a) why the option was added in this way as opposed to a directfbrc option (b) whether it's really needed as an option at all -- why would you not want it? Any information gratefully received.
