Don't know if this is OT, but what about switching YC CVBS RGB signal types on Matrox TV-out, could that also be done, with some re-work in the driver code (or does it need an API change over all drivers, too?) on the fly too? Now it's also just a config option. It would be nice if the signal type could be switched by applications on the fly (think of so many domestic STBs or DVD players which can do this by just pressing a remote button. That's something I'd like to have in Stefan's softdevice, to name just an example, but I know it has to be supported by DirectFB first. Is it difficult to do?
