Another debian user i contacted for testing reported, more or less, the
same crash, which sadly i cannot reproduce nor fix because on my laptop
Ville's patch works perfectly.

After discussing with fjp it was decided to go with the original patch i
wrote (the one attached to BR #400579, currently applied upstream):
Guillem, could you please proceed with upload ?

I really hope we'll be able to fix the bug in Ville's patch soon, as
it's much more complete than mine: we may be even able to integrate
ville's patch in a future DirectFB upload.

Currently, infact, we're facing a bug [1] which Denis Oliver Knopp said
should be fixable with a minor patch to DirectFB; patching DFB should be
easier than adding, at this point of the release process, a new library
(libgcc1) to the installer.

In the case DOK provides the patch in time we may need to request you,
Guillem, a further upload for DirectFB, provided that's still possible.

cheers

Attilio
