Using Little or Big Endian byte ordering doesn't change the order of RGB, red is always least significant bits. (offset is zero) It just defines the location of pixels in the memory for each 32 bits.
I've created that patch because in a previous thread [1] it was mentioned to add a new pixel format. So I thought that's the way to go :) If there's any other way to get directfb work with these devices I'll be happy to try.
