The program was ran by the root user.
The permissions on /dev/fb0 are:

root@deb-n2800:/mnt/directfb_test# ls -l /dev/fb0
crw-rw---T 1 root video 29, 0 mar 25 13:12 /dev/fb0

Also, I forgot to mention: removing the DSCAPS_FLIPPING flag in the dsc.caps
(so, requesting a non-double buffered framebuffer) the program runs fine
without errors.
